Hello Everyone
During the time of Beit haMikdash two mitzvot were associated with Shavuot. One mitzvah was the bringing of two loaves of bread from the new wheat harvest. These two loaves of bread, the שתי הלחם were the first offering from the new harvest.
The second mitzvah associated with Shavuot was the mitzvah of ביכורים. Shavuot marked the opening of the harvest season when the first fruits were brought to Beit haMikdash by the farmers.
In today’s session we will discuss the שתי הלחם.
