Shavuot During the Beit Hamikdash

Hello Everyone,

Shavuot is celebrated as זמן מתן תורתינו, the time that our Torah was given. It is intriguing that first of all, the Torah does not state clearly on what date the Torah was given, Second of all, Shavuot is cited in the Torah as being the holiday on which the first fruits are offered in the Temple.

Last week we talked about one of these offerings; the two loaves of bread made from the new wheat harvest. Today we will speak about the mitzvah to bring the first fruits of the seven species for which the Land of Israel is praised. This offering is known as ביכורים.

I  hope that the shiur will be enjoyed by all.
