Training & experience
I was blessed to grow up around many remarkable rabbis and poskim, including Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks zt’l. Included in my rabbinical training was a range of rabbinic counseling courses, and since then, I have endeavored to meet and, where possible, study from leading halachic experts.
More recently, I completed a training program with the Ma’aglei Nefesh organization to deal with matters relating to halacha and mental health, and I am also posek (halachic decisor) for my local synagogue.
On becoming #theVirtualRabbi
The title #VirtualRabbi came about while seriously considering becoming a pulpit rabbi while still living in the UK. Family circumstances and my desire to live in Israel led me to make Aliyah with my wife and five daughters in 2012 and since then, I have been teaching Torah in numerous settings, including a range of social media platforms where I share numerous Torah teachings including my daily daf yomi insights.
Over time, men and women around the world began turning to me for advice, leading me to create my #VirtualRabbi service.
