HM FAQs

The Halacha Mastery Program is a special track of study for students seeking advanced learning. To apply CLICK HERE.

Schedule:

When are live classes held?

Live classes usually take place evenings Israel time.

What if I miss a live class?

All classes are recorded in video or audio-only formats and available for download around 12 hours after each class.

Can I do the entire program through the archived recordings?

Yes, and the teachers are always available for direct consultation as you make your way through the archives.

Who are the teachers?

To see who teaches in our Halacha Mastery Program please visit our curriculum page.

Commitment:

What level of learning is needed?

A basic working understanding of Hebrew and background in Jewish text learning.

What level of religiosity do I need to be?

While anyone can join regular WebYeshiva.org courses, part of the criteria for acceptance to the Halacha Mastery Program is a commitment to Halacha (shomer shabbat, shomer kashrut, etc).

How much time per week will this take me?

Each class is an hour. Outside class time depends on a student’s level. Students should assume they will spend at least 2 hours a week per class including the class and prep/review time. Additionally, if needed each class has an hour long optional prep shiur (also available through the archives) which helps students go through the material.

What happens when a student finishes the entire program?

Students who complete all six courses receive a certificate.

What are the requirements for a certificate?

Accepted students may take classes without doing tests. However, students who wish to graduate the program and receive a certificate must 1) Attend each class in a course either live or by recording. 2) Complete and pass a midterms and finals for each course.

Do I need to hand things in on time?

Preferably but not required. Our students lead busy lives so it is understood that everyone is on a different timetable.

Do I have access to teachers outside of class?

Yes. Mostly by email.

What about a chevruta?

We encourage students to connect with one another and create opportunities for chevruta study amongst themselves.
