Shalom and Welcome. Tonight we have come to the letter chet in our Aleph Bet meditations. This letter, whose name is synonymous with an idea most of us abhore, the idea of sin, its meaning, according to Rabbi Akiva, is a fence. Come learn why such concepts collide in the names of letters and human beings as well, with ideas we prefer to avoid, or censure. There is a little referred to concept in Kabbalah called in Hebrew, ‘A davar and chipucho’, a thing and its opposite, which in fancy english might be called, ‘The reflexive inversion of letter permutations.’
