Hello Everyone,
Today we will see a new attempt by the Gemarah to understand the basis for a ruling given by Rabbi Chiyah. This new attempt involves the word “הילך”- “here- it is yours.” When a claim is made against someone, and the defendant replies by saying “הילך” is this an admission that there is an obligation and now it is being discharged? Or perhaps by saying הילך the defendant is saying that the object in question was never used and no obligation ever existed?
Much has been written about הילך, but today we will see it it and talk about it and then hopefully move on in the Gemarah.
