The Arba Minim: Creation & Teshuva

Shalom to all, and Welcome.

This week we will have two classes, to make up for the class we missed last week.

This evening at 6pm Israel, we will look again at the general mitzvot of taking the Arbah Minim, the Four Species of Succot, from a macro level, according to the sefirot, including the four types of plants representated, four types of people, four levels of nutrition in Creation,   The Arizal will teach us the main idea of the taking of the Lulov in light of all mitzvot and their purposes in human life.   Time permitting we will meditate on these ideas.

This Thursday night, we will where we leave off today, deepening our understanding of why the Rabbis call Succot, The Festival, emphasizing it above all others, its connection to nature, time and the nations.  Again we will meditate, always with an eye and heart on the idea of integrating our learning into our being, that is not just receiving information, but attempting to make that information active and viable within.

Look forward to seeing you there.
