Many observe the minhag of kapparot before Yom Kippur (whirling a chicken around one’s head before slaughtering it).
In this series, we will examine the primary sources to establish exactly how to fulfil the minhag. More importantly, we will survey the opinions and reasons of the great poskim who prohibit and those who encourage the practice.
Hebrew sources are available through the links in both pdf and WORD format. In class we will translate and explain these sources.
