In this last session of our 3-part series, we will examine sources in the midrashim to see efforts made by the Jews of Shushan to change the dire fate awaiting them and all other Jews. We will note how this was connected to the stalled project of rebuilding the Beit Hamikdash in Jerusalem. Finally, we will see how the building of the 2nd Beit Mikdash was resumed.
