Shabbat & Yom Tov: What's the Difference?
Shabbat and Yom Tov are one and the same but very different. Join Rabbi Dr. Stuart Fischman as he explores the fundamental differences and why those ideas are so important to the spiritual experiences we make place for in this world.
Shabbat & Yom Tov: What's the Difference?: Shabbat & Yom Tov: What’s the Difference?
We are approaching the month of Tishrei which is the month of so many holidays. As far as the halacha is concerned the one big difference between Shabbat and the holidays is that cooking is permitted on the holidays but is forbidden on Shabbbat.
In this meeting we will discuss the difference in the spiritual experience of the holidays. We are meant to experience these two sacred times differently. This is what I plan on discussing with you tomorrow.
I look forward to meeting with you.
