Halachic Issues & Tashlich: Halachic Issues & Tashlich
The Ashkenazi minhag of Tashlich raises a number of halachic issues.
Some posekim oppose the minhag entirely. Others permit or encourage it, but are unhappy with certain specific practices.
In this class, we will survey the sources dealing with the origins of Tashlich, those who oppose it and those who encourage it, and the specific prohibitions that apply while performing the minhag.
A source sheet is available through the links in both WORD format and pdf. In class we will translate and explain the sources.
