Brit Mila and Pidyon HaBen

In this Halacha Mastery Program course with Rabbi David Brofsky we will examine the halakhic foundations of *brit milah* and *pidyon haben*, exploring their sources, principles, and practical applications.

We will consider several contemporary questions and controversies, including the use of circumcision clamps, *metzitzah bepeh*, and the obligation of *pidyon haben* in cases involving sperm donation. Through close engagement with classical sources and contemporary halakhic discussions, the course will explore how these mitzvot are understood and applied in modern contexts.

This course is free for Halacha Mastery Program students. If you are not enrolled in the Halacha Mastery Program a $50 donation is required. Questions? Email office@webyeshiva.org
