How bad is anger? Are there situations where anger is correct and justified? Join Rabbi Dovid Fink as he surveys the approaches of the great rabbis to anger. Doing so will perhaps enable us to evaluate and deal with anger in real situations.

Class description

The first issue we will address is: How bad is anger, and why is it bad? Our first class deals with the sources that reject all forms of anger and the various reasons for that rejection.

In this session we will finish the Zoharic passage in praise of the anger of rabbinic scholars and teacher. Then we will turn to two seemingly contradictory passages by Rambam, one prohibiting and one permitting anger.

Rabbi Fink received his Rabbinic ordination from ITRI and the Mir and was awarded his Ph.D in Semitic Languages and Linguistics from Yale University. Rav Fink has taught thousands of students from all over the world for over 35 years.
