Reb Elimelech of Lizhensk was one of the chasidic leaders of the third generation. He and his brother Reb Zusha went into voluntary exile, wandering through Europe. Reb Elimelech only wrote one book, Noam Elimelech, which has become a classic text of chasidic thought.
