“Kol Nidrei” on Yom Kippur and the Release of Vows (hattarat nedarim) before Rosh ha-Shana are supposed to save us from violating any vows we may have made during the year.
In class we will study the sources for these practices, learn how they work, and discover what they actually accomplish.
