Not Just Torat Kohanim- Social Justice in Sefer Vayikra

GAN EDEN AND THE MISHKAN: In trying to understand the meaning of the basic concepts in Sefer Vaykira; Kedusha, Tumah and Tahara we first must find the deeper meaning of the in comparing it to Gan Eden.

PARASHAT KEDOSHIM: In this class we take a deep look into the meaning of Parashat kedoshim-one mitzvah at a time.

CUTTING AND PASTING: This week we will see the connection between sections of sefer VaYikra to Sefer Shemot, specifically the Ten commandments and the Mitzvot following thereafter. Please take a look at the sequence of events from Shemot 19-24 if you have a chance and of course bring a Tanach.

BRIT SINAI: This week we will be learning VaYikra chapter 25- Parashat Behar. Please read it and have a translation handy if need be. Besorot Tovot to all of Am Yisrael Ora

BRACHA AND KLALLAH- REWARD AND PUNISHMENT: This week we will read the 26th chapter of VaYikra. we will see what the reward is for keeping the Brit and what the punishment is for not keeping it. We will also see the structure of the chapter and it’s message. Please bring a tanach with a translation if you need.

GALUT BAA LAOLAM- EXILE COMES TO THE WORLD: This week we will see the connection between Shmitta/ Yovel and Exile. What was so terrible about not keepng these comadments that warrants such a severe punishment?
