“What Happens When You Sin?” is an intriguing title for these two שיעורים. We could discuss Divine punishment which certainly is a consequence of sin. But I hope to discuss the spiritual side of sin. How does sin affect our soul and our relationship with Hashem.

Hello Everyone,
Last week we focused on a statement made by the sages, “No one sins unless the spirit of foolishness enters him.” This statement implies (or suggests, or teaches) that the thing to do to avoid sin is to avoid foolishness.
This pair of classes is titled, “What Happens When You Sin?” Last week’s answer to the question is that when you sin you become stupid ( or a fool). Today we will see different answer to the question. Today’s answer is that when you sin you incur a debt to Hashem.
