Shavuot: Staying Up All Night: Staying Up All Night on Shavu’ot
Class description

Many people stay awake the whole of Shavu’ot night and daven Shacharit at dawn.

This minhag leads to questions regarding the routine brachot that are recited daily upon waking up. If you did not sleep, should you nonetheless recite these brachot?

The opinions of the poskim on this question reveal a deep understanding of the Jew’s place in this world and what Ha-Kadosh Baruch Hu requires of us.

Hebrew sources are available through the links in both pdf and WORD format. In class we will translate and explain these sources.
