Marriage and Procreation

Artificial Insemination (Husband): Our next topic deals with artificial insemination from a woman’s husband. (We will discuss artificial insemination from a foreign donor in a later class.) Is it permitted for a man to provide sperm for insemination? Is it permitted to inseminate a woman during her nidda period? Is the sperm donor (in this case the husband) considered to be the halachic father of the offspring? We will survey the opinions of the great poskim on these issues.
