Some things are prohibited because of the appearance of sin. For example, it is prohibited to eat meat together with almond milk. On the other hand, many things are permitted despite their similarity to Torah prohibitions. For example, it is permitted to drink red wine even though it might look like blood. Join Rabbi Dovid Fink as he examines the principle sources to determine when the prohibition of mar’it ayin applies and when it does not apply.
