Kabbalah in the Garden of Eden

The Garden of Eden is only mentioned briefly during the creation story and plays an important role in the rest of humanity. Join Rabbi Avraham Shira as he explores mystical ideas that can help us relate to existence during those early days and the process of teshuva in the lead up to the Yamim Noraim.
Kabbalah in the Garden of Eden: Kabbalah in the Garden of Eden
Shalom and Welcome to a NewZman at Webyeshiva.
Tonight we begin a series that promises much and demands much, from all of us. Faith, Vision, Heart and Patience. What is Gan Eden? What is there? What do souls do there? Where is it? Why is there such a ‘place’? What is a ‘place’ above space and time. How do we know? Who do we believe? Can we visit? Do we Want to Visit?
As you can see, to answer these questions is neither simple nor a given we will believe the answers. But these are some of the challenges to get there.
Let’s prepare together and give strength to each other. Tonight,WebYeshiva.org 8pm.

Shalom and Welcome. Tonight’s journey into Eden will include stories from the Sages on various ‘entries’ into the Garden. We will compare some of these
with NDE experiences in our generation. We will look at the idea of the 24 Batei Dinim, Rabbinical Courts and a short take of their functions and purpose.
Naturally we will meditate on some of this material at the end of the shiur. Look forward to seeing all of you.

Kabbalah in the Garden of Eden: Kabbalah in the Garden of Eden
Shalom, Tonight we will explore the most provocative and famous episode of Souls entering Gan Eden: Four Entered Pardes. We will follow the text explaining moments along the way to reach a deep, firm understanding of this ‘place’ we call the Garden, how to get there, how not to get there, how not to orient oneself to this ultimate spiritual journey. Afterward we will meditate and perhaps discuss our sensations and experiences in meditating on this profoundly moving reality.

Kabbalah in the Garden of Eden: Kabbalah in the Garden of Eden
Shalom and Welcome. Tomrrow night we will climb higher into the realm of the Kabbalah of Gan Eden to explore the Life of the Souls there: what they eat, what they learn, how they rest. How does nourishment enter the soul, and the rest of Creation. We will also ask the question, How does the Angel of Death survive? What is its ‘food’, and when will that be taken from it?
This class promises to discuss areas of Jewish kabbalistic philosophy that gives perspective, balance and structure to some of the most esoteric mysteries of Creation.
Look forward to seeing you there,
Avraham Shira
