Emuna Part 3
The Rebbe of Slonim describes Emuna as the Song of Life of a Jew. This class will be using the text of the Slonimer Rebbe, ztz”l, and his sefer Netivot Shalom Volume Aleph, as well as other holy teachings of a selection of rabbis. We will look at these texts as a springboard to discuss the many layered mitzva of believing in Hashem. PLEASE NOTE: This class requires a minimum of 10 paying students in order to ensure its continuation this zman.
Emuna Part 3: Lesson 1
DERECH HASHEM: Welcome to all talmidim/talmidot – new and returning! We are continuing in our study of Reb Moshe Chaim Luzzato’s classic work “The Way of Hashem”. We will pick up from Chelek 2 %th Chapter and paragraph four. We will be learning about the constant and ongoing guidance of supervision of Hashem in our world. Just as Creation came together multileveled and with succession of energies so also Hashem’s providence is multileveld and constant.
Emuna Part 3: Lesson 2
DERECH HASHEM: We will be continuing with Chapter 7 of part two of Derech Hashem which includes a discussion of how Hashem uses the stars and constellations to have influence on Creation and that Hashem’s plan is always for the good of Creation even though at times we are experiencing revelation and other times we are experiencing the “hester panim” – hidden Face of Hashem. Hopefully we will start the next section which deals withhumankind and our experience within Creation.
