Behind the Scenes of the Passover Story

Behind the Scenes of the Passover Story

A large portion of the Haggada is Maggid, telling the story of the exodus. The story begins with our ancestors, who were idolaters, and continues through the enslavement in Egypt. The Rabbis explained each verse of the story told in the bible using a form of biblical exegesis called ‘Midrash’. In this class, we will go behind the scenes to uncover the story encoded within the words of Maggid: The Midrashim of Maggid.
